...I'll use the qualifier perhaps here, but perhaps one of next year's most anticipated
films is The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, David Fincher's big studio remake of a Swedish film, or
maybe more correctly, a new film version of Stieg Larsson's book. I rather doubt Fincher will look to
mimic the other movie to any real degree.
But a December 2011 release date has already been set by Sony, and studio boss Amy Pascal more or less
said she'll let Fincher direct this movie the way he wants to. Daniel Craig has signed on and we're still
waiting on his unknown co-star (in both senses of the word) to be finalized.
